Q. Why isn't my Facebook status imported into my JomSocial site?

 

A. First, please confirm you have a Facebook status set.  If you have a Facebook status set it will only be imported if it is newer than the JomSocial status.  Try setting a new Facebook status and then reconnecting to the JomSocial site.  Also make sure that you have set the JomSocial Facebook Connect settings in the backend to import status messages.

 

 

Q. After submitting my email address in the first AJAX popup, I click 'Proceed' and nothing happens.  What's wrong?

 

A. Make sure you have enabled the Facebook Correct COMMUNITY plugin.

 

 

Q. When I click on the 'Connect with Facebook' button, why do I receive the standard JomSocial Facebook login?

 

A.  Please make sure you have the Facebook Correct SYSTEM plugin enabled.

 

 

Q. When I convert my account to Facebook authentication my Joomla login and password no longer work.  Help!

 

A. Accounts converted to Facebook authentication may no longer use the Joomla login method.  This is clearly stated in the AJAX popup prior to account conversion.

 

 

Q. The year of birth never imports properly when a user connects with Facebook, what's wrong?

 

A.  Users may have their year of birth hidden on Facebook as part of their privacy settings.  Facebook will not export any information that is hidden by the user's privacy settings.
